The
Falkirk Flydressers was founded in 1985. Meetings
are held on Tuesday evenings from October to March and fly tying
classes for
beginners and for advanced tyers run throughout these months. The
winter programme also includes invited guest demonstrators and
speakers.
Recent guests have included Paul
Young, Ian Muckle, David Downie, Jim Crawford, Ian Mouter and Jimmy
McBride.
A range of fly tying materials and hooks is available most
evenings. The fishing section of the club continues to meet over the
summer months. The venue for meetings is
the Ochiltree Social Club and the informal
atmosphere allows plenty of
time for
conversation, exchange of fly patterns and
talk of fish caught and
